Motion Graphics Design & Animation by Matthew Armstrong
About
I currently live in West Dover, VT (Home of Mount Snow) and work as a self-employed motion designer, 3D artist, and overall problem solver. My background, totaling over 10 years of experience, includes design and animation for broadcast television, corporate, and entertainment employers and clients. Previously I was employed as a Digital Artist for Hasbro’s Cake Mix Studios, a Producer Editor at New England Sports Network, a Videographer Editor at Comcast, and have additional past experience in sign design, architectural sculptures, and printing.
Throughout my career I have worked in nearly every aspect of television production and post production. In my roles as production assistant, shooter, editor, producer, technical director, post-production supervisor, to name a few, I have produced hundreds of regional, national, and international broadcast commercials and graphics packages and have been involved in the development of intellectual properties from the concept phase through production.
I am a two time Emmy Award winner for my work on MSG’s Knicks and Rangers 2009 Broadcast Package and NESN’s Boston Bruins 2005 Broadcast Package. Among other software I work with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, and Cinema 4D in my normal day to day. I have a passion for design, creating motion graphics, all things 3D, as well as working with other talented people and artists. Basically I like to create cool things, solve problems, and work with interesting people.
